"How would Horatio Alger have handled this situation?" So sayeth Johnny Depp, who was fantastic as the great Hunter S. Thompson in Terry Gilliam's Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (that's him draped under the flag.) Only a half-dozen of you were able to identify both the film and the Alger quote -- Filmbrain had no idea it would be so difficult. Many of you guessed Fight Club/Hemingway -- not a bad guess, as Traven's book does appear in there as well. There were quite a few submissions for Winter Kills, Greaser's Palace, and The Last Movie -- three quasi-forgotten films that would make for a great triple feature!
